Studio Lush
Studio Lush is me, Andy Vermeulen, showing off some music and travel photos and having the occasional non-related whinge. I'm stalking Sydney gigs and nightclubs on a regular basis so come say hi and have a drink, or have a browse of the site and let me know what you think of the snaps. Cheers!

Movember will soon be upon us again and this time around I will be joining in on the fun. Damn my friends for talking me into this one.
SO! As you all know by now blokes grow moustaches in November in order to increase awareness of men's health issues - in particular prostate cancer and male depression - raising money along the way. I will be growing a mo starting this weekend as well as a few fellow Hobogestapo photogs so come have a laugh when you see us out and please donate. It is for a good cause after all.
You can donate using your credit card or Paypal on the Movember website either for team "Hobogestapo" or for my individual efforts (registration number 1397746). I will also be collecting cash donations until the end of Movember so give me a yell if you see me around.
I will be posting pics of my mo at regular intervals on my Movember profile page and Facebook. I have never grown a mo so this will most likely end in total disaster, but theoretically I will look absolutely ridiculously hot as in the pic below.

Everybody probably knows by now, but the Aria Awards this year were dominated by Melbourne sweethart Gabriella Cilmi. While her awards speaches and interviews were far from fabulous, her music is clearly much more appreciated as she pulled in a grand total of 6 awards. Runners up this year were the boys from The Presets who brought home a very decent 3 awards.

Luckily for everyone else, there were a few more awards to go around. The Panics, The Audreys, The Wiggles, Shaun Micallef, Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson, Nick Cave, Powderfinger/Silverchair, The Living End, Bliss N Eso, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, and Deltra Goodrem all picked up awards as well (seriously, too many awards to go around). Have a look at the Arias website if you want to know who won which award.
And as things go with awards, there was plenty of red carpet action going around prior to the event. You can see my red carpet photo gallery at Resident Advisor, or just check out my fav snaps below if you're short on time.

I am procrastinating from real work and cleaning, thus resulting in my second post for the day.
These are some snaps from the Van She 'V' album release party at The Forum a week or two ago. I arrived about 2 minutes before they came on (damn cheap drinks at the KB!!!) thus missing out on Ladyhawke's performance and whoever else was on for the night. Van She's set was more than worth the trip down to The Forum though. Full photo gallery on InTheMix as usual.
